Care That Begins With Listening
Your first visit at Ruhwell Med is more than an intake. It is a conversation built around understanding you fully. Whether you are seeking care for yourself or your child, Maria takes time to learn your story, understand your concerns, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
We want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing preferences, and taking an active role in your care. Every visit is designed to feel collaborative, supportive, and centered on what matters most to you.

We aim for total transparency. No surprise billing. You’ll know your cost before your visit.
We are in network with several major insurance plans. As a courtesy, we verify benefits before your visit, but we recommend that you also confirm your telehealth mental health coverage directly with your insurance plan.
Co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance are due at the time of service. A credit card must be kept on file before your first appointment.
If we are not in network with your plan, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance carrier.
For safe and timely care, please submit all prescription refill requests through the patient portal at least 3 business days before your medication is due to run out.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-show visits, are considered missed appointments and will incur a $75 fee charged to the card on file. As a one-time courtesy, the fee for your first missed appointment will be waived.
